Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I experience pressure in my whole head when lying down in bed at night. The pressure feels like I am standing on my head and the blood is rushing to my head. My head feels like it s blown up like a balloon and my face feels flushed. It doesn t subside until I am up in the morning for 30+ minutes.

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Harshita's Response
Hello,
Themost probable cause is cervical vertebra enlargement which is mainly due to increase work activity in head down position for e.g if you are studying for a longer time.
2. To come out of this situation you should take some extra precautions like to change the lifestyle e.g sleeping without pillows and studying or doing work by keeping the things at your eye level. Don't bend your neck for a longer time.
3. If the situation still persists then try doing some yoga or physiotherapy sessions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Harshita, Infectious Diseases Specialist
