What Causes Pressure In The Head While Having Sinus Infection?

I have had a sinus infection for probably the last three weeks....have been through 2 rounds of zpacs and a round of prednisone. I have this pressure in the left side of my head above my ear but below the middle of my head. Sometimes it moves to my left temple....it is just pressure and sometimes it feels like there is fluid. Do you think this is still a sinus infection? Thank you for your time...

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to the sinus infection.

I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication to treat the pain such as Ibuprofen.

I also recommend using prescription antibiotics to treat the infection.

Warm compresses can be helpful to relieve the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
