Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pressure in the lower abdomen, with pressure on the anus after eating and some tingling. If I can pass gas it feels better. I had an episode of this about 2 years ago and it went away in about 2 months. I worry about pancreatic cancer because my father had it. Otherwise I am very healthy.
These symptoms look like normal when people are stressed out, the colon will get compressed by stress hormones response, and because of that, there is pressure on lower abdomen and anus, and usually, it is intermittent, no need to do anything. Do supportive measures like meditation, some mood stabilizers if needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pusarla Naga Sai Lakshmi,
Cardiac Surgeon
