What Causes Pressure In The Lower Pelvic Area While Having Colitis?

I think I am experiencing another attack of colitis but this has severe abdominal pressure in the lower pelvic area, even near the rectum. It hurts to sit down. I have an appt with my general family practitioner tomorrow morning so I will not pay for an answer. Thanks anyway.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

I agree that the symptoms seem to be related to colitis.

I suggest using a spasmolytic such as Buscopan 10 mg three times a day.

I also suggest using a daily probiotic and drink liquids.

I recommend to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
