What Causes Pressure Under Right Rib Cage And Bloating?
Ive been having pressure under my right rib cage for 3 days. I havent been eating much, but still feel a constant bloating. It wakes me up through the night and the pressure gets worse if I don't sit up straight. Im wondering if it had anything to do with alcohol intake. I dont normally drink, but this past week i consumed alot of alcohol. I also took tylenol 3 hours before drinking one night. Could there be a problem with my liver?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Pressure under right rib cage can be due to many a factors as follows: Costochondritis of the lower ribs. Liver pathology. Gall bladder problems. Transverse colon inflammation. Duodenal problems such a ulcers. This can be diagnosed by the following ways: Get a clinical evaluation, examination and investigations like Ultrasonography of abdomen. Tests of blood, urine and stool. Upper GI Endoscopy if ultrasonography is normal. All these will lead to a proper diagnosis so that an appropriate management can be done
