Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past few months I have had prickly sensations all over my body. It doesn t happen all at once, it may be on my side, and then on a different part of my body. I have taken allergy medicine and it seems to help, however, I have never had allergies before. I was jus wondering what it could be.
Pricking sensation all over the body that is alleviated by taking allergy medicine is a sign of possible allergy with no visual skin rash. I would recommend to run stool examination for ova / parasites and allergy testing. If everything is okay then, should consult with neurologist to rule out neurological problems. Sometimes, it is not so serious and problematic, however, we should ensure nothing more serious is happening.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
