What Causes Pricking Sensation And Thick Skin At The Nasal Bridge?
I just came from the Doctor to check up on a pre-cancerous skin condition on the bridge of my nose. I ve had it frozen in the office 3x in the last 2 years. It keeps coming back. His opinion was that there was no growth apparent right now, that it is a thickening of the skin and to keep an eye on it. He did not freeze it this time. (when dry, I can feel rough pins and needles when I touch the area and have lifted painful growth platelets in the past. My question is, should I be seeing a dermatologist? My family is bugging me and I m wondering if a specialist is just going to tell me the same thing as my Doctor did. I m worried, but I don t want to waste people s time.
Based on the history you have shared, it's better to get it evaluated by a dermatologist. If frozen therapy helped, which is mostly used if viral warts are suspected, and it recurred it may need repeat sessions however, it's better to get biopsy done from the lesion to rule out presence of neoplastic cells or any suspicious activity which can lead to malignancy. If biopsy turns out to be normal, most of the doubts will be cleared however a dermatologist review can be helpful. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Regards
