What Causes Productive Cough With Blocked Nose In An Infant?

My child is 2.5 months old. For the past one week he s been down with cough with phelgm, blocked nose, now and then he cries especially in the night which I presume is colic. He. He finds much relief after he passes wind and motion. Doctor prescribed the following. Please let me know is it safe for 2.5 months old infant. Domstal - 15 drops - 3 times Cefcure - morning 5ml, night 2.5 ml Betnesol 8 drops 3 times Sancoff 2.5 ml 3 times Naso free nasal drops, 3 times For night cry Pedicloryl 3 ml plus syp Cyclopam 2 ml togeather at 10 PM at night. All the above for one week.

Hi,

Domstal is for vomiting, Cefcure is Cefodoxime (an antibiotics), Betnesol is a steroid, Sancoff is a decongestant. In my opinion you should avoid Betnesol and Pedicloryl on daily basis because it could be harmful for the child.
