What Causes Profuse Sweating And Fainting While Cycling?
Hi. Yesterday i was riding the cycle after 1.5 hrs of my dinner. Just after 20 min of cycling i feel like i d faint. i stopped my bike. Then i got the vomiting sensation and intense headache (in the upper skull). I generally dont sweat much. But i was sweating very much while cycling this time. What may be the reason for this. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Exercising after eating may reduce the blood flow to the stomach and the intestines. This is because the blood flow is diverted to the muscles that are exercising.
When there is less blood supply, the food can move around a lot in the abdomen and the stomach. This may cause the stomach lining to be irritated. This can cause the food to be vomited out. This may also happen when the valves that prevent food from being regurgitated don't work.
Sweating, headaches, and nausea may be seen with vagus nerve stimulation. This can happen when one is about to vomit as the nerve that causes vomiting can also cause sweating and headaches.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
