What Causes Profuse Sweating In Neck And Face Along With Body Weakness?

I frequently wake pu sweating profusely around the neck, head and face also, at times, lower body areas.These sweat attacks also during the day accompanied with significant weakness of limbs and all over body exhaustion. I am 75 years old history of heart disease (all ok there, just checked), degenerative joints with partly severe changes in neck and lumbar joints. Also have emphysema and COPD, which is monitored by pulmonary specialist.

Hi

Sudden sweating at night and during the day are signs of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) usually seen in diabetes mellitus. Please get your blopd sugar checked. You need to check two values in order to be sure. Once in the morning before consuming any food (fasting) and then two hours after a meal. If the results suggest diabetes then you should start appropriate medication after consulting a physician.
