What Causes Profuse Sweating While Falling Asleep?

I am a 51 year old woman and when I am starting to fall into a deep sleep I start sweating heavily, so much so that it soaks through all my clothes and sheets. This has been happening for at least 6 years. I have been tested for menapause several times over these years and have been told that Im not even in pre menapause yet. Also had hormone and thyroid tests done and all have come back normal. This issue is so annoying. Do you have any suggestions on further testing. The only medication I have taken is zoloft but dr took me off after a few years and It made no difference...Any suggestions?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical judgment, this indicates stress-induced hormone imbalance with underlying subconscious level conflict which needs to be corrected by detailed counseling sessions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
