Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Progressive Pain In Shoulder, Upper Back And Neck?
I m a 35 year old lady started off with shoulder pain a month ago due to lifting I think, now I have pain in upper back and pain in my neck also headache and also going hot and cold is this all connected. What could it be. Do I rest it or keep moving.
Hello dear user! Thank you for sharing your concerns with us on HCM!
I think it may be due to a muscle straining or a pushed vertebra or discus, probably by the lifting.
I would recommend you to go through a Spinal MRI to evaluate the spinal cord or any possible damage. You have to be careful in weight lifting as much as possible. Meanwhile you may use painkillers like Ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation.
If any result is found from MRI, consult an orthopedist or neurosurgeon. Take care and all the best! DR ERIOL
