What Causes Prolonged And Heavy Bleeding During Periods With Recurring Cramps?
Last month my period lasted 3 weeks. I was period free for 2 weeks. I have now had my period, spotting to heavy bleeding with intermitted cramps, for almost 4 weeks. My company changed insurance companies suddenly and now i cant go see my doctor. Should i wait to find a new doctor that can see me or shoukd i go to an urgent care or emergency room?

As first-line management, you can take drugs like tranexamic acid to control bleeding. If symptoms persist better to consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated. A detailed evaluation is required including an ultrasound scan.
