What Causes Prolonged Delay In Periods Despite Having Negative UPT?

Hello.I am a 32 yr old F. I came off Femodene in May, had a normal period in June and a very light one in July. I ve not had a period since July 6th and I m getting worried as I m normally very regular. Thyroid is normal but I am very stressed atm and also very anaemia - HB is 60G/l. Taken x2 pregnancy tests - negative My question is, could the lack of periods be something to worry about??

Hello,

You can go for a beta HCG test to confirm whether you are pregnant or not.
If periods are delayed despite negative pregnancy test, drugs like hormonal pills might be required to induce bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
