Hello, thanks for writing in. I would like to know 1.if your periods stopped suddenly altogether or if it has been irregular for sometime, age, weight, marital status. 2. Have you been on medication other than ovral and meprate. 3. Have you tested your thyroid profile and prolactin hormone anytime? Firstly I would suggest you to wait for another week to see if you get your periods. If you still don't get your periods I recommend you to do few things. 1. Thyroid profile on empty stomach (Serum TSH and free T4) and serum prolactin estimation. 2. An ultrasound scan to look for endometrial thickness and features of polycystic ovaries. 3. You may need an alternate treatment plan( with premarin or meprate) other than meprate or ovral if all the above tests are normal. I have tried to suggest you basic things based on available information. Kindly discuss with your gynaecologist for a thorough evaluation. Good luck.
