General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Possibilities in your case are hip joint arthritis or nerve compression syndromes. A thorough physical examination by orthopedician and imaging ( X ray and MRI if required) of hip and lumbosacral spine will help to rule out the condition. Your present X ray also should be shown to an orthopedician as some problems can be recognised by an experienced orthopedician only. Do you have pain on straight leg rising while lying down. ? Do you have pain and numbness all over your leg. ?.
In case of nerve compression syndromes , drugs like muscle relaxants, NSAIDs along with physiotherapy and muscle strengthening exercises will be helpful to recover from this.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
