Hello,
Your symptom of feet getting hot especially during nights is a unique symptom. It is most probably due to peripheral neuropathy. The causes are alcohol use disorder, athlete's foot,
charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, chemotherapy,
chronic kidney disease, complex
regional pain syndrome (chronic pain due to a dysfunctional nervous system), diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage caused by diabetes), hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid),
tarsal tunnel syndrome, vitamin deficiency (B12, folic acid and B6 deficiency), amyloid polyneuropathy, heavy metal poisoning like lead, mercury,
chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), Guillain Barre syndrome, and small fiber neuropathy.
Peripheral arterial disease can also cause burning feet. The following investigations help in diagnosing neuropathy causes which are EMG, nerve conduction studies, nerve biopsy, various blood tests like thyroid tests and levels of vitamins. Treatment depends on the cause of neuropathy. I recommend tab. Neurobion Forte daily once for 3 months. Tab. Evion LC daily for 3 months.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
