What Causes Prolonged Irregular Bleeding While On Implanon?
I ve been on implanon for 3 years and 10 months due to not having insurance to get it removed. The implanting has caused me to have pro longed and irregular bleeding for the whole 3 years and 10 months. I m set to have the implanting removed on the 17 of July now but my question is that I think I might be pregnant, but the bleeding has not stopped. O if I m pregnant would it cause the bleeding to stop?
Irregular bleeding at this point could be due to the implant or even due to pregnancy. I would suggest removal of implant if the expiry date is reached since severe bleeding or infection may occur. Implant is a very effective contraception method and pregnancy is usually rare with an active implant.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
