What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding?
I’ve been on my period for 3 weeks now. And I thought it could of been because I didn’t get my period last month so I thought it was making up for it . Well last night I was in a lot of pain and I started believing out a lots of blood clots I am talking A little more than a handful. I am sexually active but I take daily birth control and always use protection but today when I googled what could’ve been it was telling me it was a miscarriage.

It may be a miscarriage of pregnancy but you can do a bHcg to check if it's true. The bHcg levels remain high for several days after the miscarriage. Most probably if you forgot any pill since you are taking birth control pills.
