What Causes Prolonged Menstruation With Brown Vaginal Discharge?

I have had my first period after more than 2 years of amenorrhoea. I started eating healthier and exercising to lose weight gained when I was depressed and now it seems to be paying off because its back. But, the bleeding on the 18th may stopped then began again 3 & 4 of june and it was still there on the 7th and still here now on the 12th. It seems to alternate between dark blood to brown blood to red. Should I be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you are facing hormonal changes, and that needs to get corrected. Better discuss with your caring gynecologist in order to decide for best treatment strategy. That is not worrisome, but yet needs to get further checked.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
