What Causes Prolonged Periods Despite Taking Unwanted-72 After Having Sex?

Hi my name is Gaurav. Me and my gf had unprotected sex so she has taken unwanted-72. She had used this medicine before also and it does not effect her menstrual cycle much. But this time she was having her periods from 14 days and from 14 days there is continuous bleeding. Plz give me some advive

Intake of an emergency contraceptive like unwanted 72 on regular basis is not recommended. This pill has higher side effects thanother methods of contraception & therefore is advised to be used in case of emergency.
If your girlfriend is having heavy bleeding like a period from past 14 days then she should consult a gynaecologist. Some hormones may be needed to stop this type of bleeding. However little bleeding like spotting is not much significant & would stop on its own with time. Next time use regular contraceptive pill or condoms for prevention of unwanted pregnancy.
