What Causes Prolonged Periods While On Progesterone?
I was having my cycle sometimes twice a month. I went to my doctor and had test ran which per my doctor I was not perimenapaus, I did not have cysts or fibroids nor a thickening of the lining. She put me on a progesterone pill and I am in my 3rd cycle of being on the medication. I have now been on my cycle for 9 days which is not normal for me and quite frustrating. Can you give me some direction? Thank you
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your symptoms of prolonged menstrual period in spite of normal findings in your ovaries uterus and not Premenopause I am suggesting that are gradually developing a hormonal inbalance
In view of this please do the following test hormone profile test Thyroid function test CT SCAN
Meanwhile please see a gynecologist specialist with the results and for expect clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
Moreover in regards to your intake of progesterone I would say you should stop while you do your lab investigations and schedule appointment with the specialist
I hope this helps Regards
