What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding Along With Severe Cramping?

I been menstruating for 5 weeks dark brown blood and towards the end of the week it gets light brown won t bleed for a day then starts up the next day sometimes I cramp like I m having slight contractions I m really bloated what s wrong with me ? And I am on the depo shot.
