What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding In Women With Ovarian Fibroids?

I have fibroids. I ve recently been treated with the depo shot with the hope of stopping the heavy bleeding. Unfortunately, since taking the shot I now bleed every day - I ve been bleeding for two months now! For the past two weeks, I ve realized that I am also bleeding from my urethra. Could this be a serious situation?

Uterine fibroids are often associated with heavy uterine bleeding.
Management of uterine fibroids consists of hormonal treatment and surgical treatment.
Since, the hormonal treatment has not been effective in controlling the bleeding, surgical measures have to be considered.
Please consult your gynecologist for best further management.
Management depends on various factors - size of fibroids, location of fibroids, etc.
In case you have completed your family, removal of uterus is the best management.
If you have not completed your family measures like myomectomy or occlusion of blood supply to fibroids to shrink them can be done.
The definitive management depends on your clinical status thus, I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for further management.
