What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Spotting In The Mid Of Menstrual Cycle?

Im not supposed to have my period until the end of next week, but ive been having light bleeding for almost two weeks now. I am concerned it may be an ectpoic pregnancy or pelvic inflammatory disease. Im not experiencing any pain. Are there any for sure signs of either that could help me determine what is going on?

Inorder to help you i will need some more information about your health like are you on any hormonal contraceptive pill or taken an emergency contraceptive pill this month?

If the emergency contraceptive pill was taken immediately in start of your cycle then such a spotting can happen. However, this can be said only once pregnancy has been ruled out. Get a blood pregnancy test done,this will rule out both ectopic and uterine pregnancy. If both are negative you will need examination by gynecologist as this will be case of dysfunctional uterine bleeding which will need medicines to manage the bleed.
