What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Spotting While On Depo Shot?

I've taken two depo shots so far and had spotting the first month and have not had a period since then or spotting after the second month. All of a sudden now on my 5th month after having the second shot administered already, suddenly I'm spotting a month and a half from getting my second shot. Is this normal to suddenly start spotting again?

It is totally normal to have spotting. It is because of progesterone . One must have experienced such kind of spotting after taking emergency contraceptive pill , as it also have progesterone. Hence , progesterone causes intermenstrual bleeding , spotting , and also irregular menstrual cycle.
