sir, i had an operation for pilonidal sinus. during that time i had injections for 1 week through cannula. now i am fine but my cannula has been replaced to several part of my hands and now at all those places my vein are protuding, is there a problem?
Hi, There may be thrombophlebitis (inflammation of veins) due to prolonged canulation of veins. Due to which veins become engorged thick, redness of surrounding skin. It take variable time to heal. After healing (after inflammatory process over) the canulatedveins may remain dilated for variable period. Which looks like protruding veins. There is nothing to worry in that if there is no pain,, redness of surrounding skin.
Hope you will find it helpful. If so do vote.
