What Causes Protein In Urine While Having Type 2 Diabetes And HIV?

I had a visit with my Endocrinologist the other day, my urine I have type 2 diabetes and hiv, all well under control, my urine test showed up with some protein, he said we need to just keep an eye on it at this stage, blood pressure good. Was this a satisfactory response or should I be a bit more concerned?

Protein loss in urine indicates kidney problem. How long have you been suffering from diabetes? Long standing diabetes which is poorly controlled, increases the risk for developing kidney damage. You must try to monitor your blood sugar to bring it under control by balancing food intake and activity levels. Reduce salt intake to control blood pressure. Go for a regular renal check up.
