Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a complete physical today and full blood work last week . At 80 years of age, taking 81 mg of aspirin daily with a vitamin B complex, with a 119/60 blood pressure and 95 respiration rate, I was told by my doctor that all is good except that I have a small amount of protein in my urine but not to worry. I walk 3 miles daily with my wife and do 30 minutes of excersis every morning. What could be the cause of a small amount of protein in my urine? I eat very health foods, not overweight. My email address is YYYY@YYYY
The presence of little protein in urine is suggesting kidney infection. However, we should evaluate the other parameters of urine sample. Please send a copy of your urine analysis report if you can. If sample was taken after you walk in the lab, this little physical activity might be the cause. This explains why your doctor was not concerned. However, I'm still asking to have the full urine analysis report and reports of other tests you did to have the full picture.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Albana Sejdini
