Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Protruded Collar Bone Along With Difficulty In Breathing?
40 some years ago I was in a bad car accident and broke my right shoulder and the dr. had to take some soft tissue out of the top of my shoulder from my arm to my neck. At the time one side of my collar bone was protruding more than the other side. Now the protrusion seems to be in the middle of my neck and causing trouble breathing. What is wrong?
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your experience with difficulty in breathing due to protrusion from your collar bone following a previous car accident I am suggesting that you are gradually developing a laryngeal compression syndrome due to pressure effect from the conspicuous bone protrusion
In view of this please do the following test CT SCAN Neck and chest x-ray
Meanwhile please see a orthopaedic specialist with the result and for further expect clinical assessment and possible surgical interventional procedure
I hope this helps Regards
