What Causes Puffiness On The Face And High Blood Pressure?

My husband is gradulayy tapering off Prednisone. He is experiencing red face and skin, puffiness especially in the face, fluctuating his blood sugar, high pressure. Has been on this drug for several months, and going off it gradually. Dr. unsure what his pproblem is, could be ALS or genetic disease. Also having iVIG infusions. Are his fluctuating blood sugar levels/pressure levels dangerous? Is taking some meds for both of these.

It's obvious that this all changes to your husband is a side effect from the long term of steroid,,this all will subside once he can stop taking this medication...
