What Causes Pulling Sensation In Lower Neck In A Patient With Deviated Septum?

Can drainage from a deviated septum cause a pulling feeling on the side that has the issue. I was just diagnosed with a deviated septum and asked if that was causing the wierd pulling sensation on that side in the lower neck area. It s not a sore throat feeling . Sometimes when I swallow my side of the neck, ear and nose hurt.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Deviated nasal septum usually causes pain, difficulty in breathing and mouth breathing. Pain may be experienced, however, unlikely to cause pain in neck. I suggest you to consult an ENT specialist for clinical assessment, investigations and thus management.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
