What Causes Pulling Sensations In Stomach After Having Miscarriage?
hi i am 37 years old and i am suppose to be almost 12 weeks pregnant. i did a u/s on the 19th of jan and started bleeding that same day. i called the dr and on the 23rd fri she told me i had an empty sac, she told me to take some meds to clean me out and i did since i was bleeding. the problem is that i have had no major pain or discharges associated to having a miscarriage. now i have stop bleeding and feel stretching and pulling in my stomach like there is a baby in there plus i just had a discharge from my breast and i feel and look pregnant.

I understand your concern.
- The stoppage of bleeding, pain & discharges indicates complete abortion.
-The Pregnancy hormones ( HCG) take about 6 weeks to come back to normal.so-
Pregnancy like symptoms continue till then.
- Breast discharge is due to the same cause. It will stop gradually in due time.
- Pregnancy hormones decrease intestinal movements- this hampers digestion,& result in a feeling of moving fetus in abdomen in post abortal phase.
- Stretching & pulling in abdomen is a result of hampered digestion, intermittent contractions of uterus ,while it comes back to it's normal size. The medicines given for cleaning up of uterus can also have same effect.

hi stretching and pulling is all psychological so don't worry but yes for discharge from breast get your serum prolactin levels checked . if elevated it can be responsible for both breast discharge as well as miscarriage . all the best take care .
