Hello, I can hear, what sounds like blood pumping in my head its a rhythmic swishing sound that matches my heart beat. This has happened on and off for years and usually goes away. It s not as common during periods when I exercise more than I am right now. I have taken 80 mg of Soltalol twice a day for Afib and am 58 6 and 260# Strongly build and very active though recently stress has been high along with 30 lbs gained this year and very little hard aerobic exercise. My recent visit to my cardiologist went well and my stress test and EKG were good
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns. Pulsatile tinnitus usually originates within the blood vessels inside the head or neck region when disturbed blood flow occurs. This results from either increased blood flow or a narrowing of the opening of the blood vessel, both of which result in turbulent blood flow that can be heard in the ears. imaging techniques, such as Magnetic Resonance Angiography and Carotid ArteryUltrasonography, have been employed that help determine the site of the problem in the majority of pulsatile tinnitus cases and then it can be appropriately treated. I hope I have answered you query Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
