What Causes Pulsating Pain In Groin While Diagnosed With Gardnerella?
I m a girl. I have a pulsating pain in the left side of my groin. I can also feel enlarged lymph nodes in the area where the pain is occuring. My gynocologist said that ther was Gardnerella in the pap smear and prescribed me a course of antibiotics. I have taken the entire course now, and it s been two weeks, but I still have the same pulsating pain in my groin. What could be the cause of this sensation? Could it be the muscle?
Hello and welcome to HCM, The Gardnerella infection of the genital tract can cause enlarged lymph nodes in the groin region. Treatment of the infection will regress the lymph nodes in the groin. The pulsating sensation in the groin can be the blood vessels pulsating in that region. Groin contains veins and arteries and they could be the cause of pulsations. However, since there is associated pain also, I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and thus management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
