General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the pulsating pain upper abdomen while sitting may be indicative of
- hiatus hernia
- GERD
- epigastric hernia
- diaphragm related issues
- lower lobe of lung pathology
- stomach narrowing or compression
- over weight with excess of abdomen fat

However, after thorough clinical examination, one may require:

@ ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis
@ upper GI endoscopy
@ with or without Ct scan of the abdomen and pelvis to find out the root cause and manage accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
