What Causes Pulsating Sensation In Abdomen And A Negative Pregnancy?

I have pulsating in my abdomen and a negative pregnancy test. I ovulated 05/5 and 12 days after ovulation I got spotting. Not sure if it s implantation bleeding. I was using a natural progesterone right after ovulation then ran out . Frantic I asked a doctor for progesterone pills because I am scared of a miscarriage. The prescription form made me very sleepy and angry. Today is two days after my period should have started and I have just spotting. Could I get a positive hpt in a couple of days?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you may wait for 2-3 days before doing a pregnancy test. The spotting may indicate the beginning of period so wait for a home test or do the blood test bHcg. Contact your doctor before taking progesterone medications.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
