What Causes Pulsating Sensation In The Neck After Severe Leg Injury?

I had a nasty fall a few days ago and suffered severe bruising on my lower legs (particularly my left leg). Extreme swelling has not abated. Just a few minutes ago I noticed the vein my neck pulsating (sans pain). Are these two events related? Do I need to see my family doctor? I am 56, overall good health, other than obesity and don t take any routine rx meds, just OTC for reflux and arthritis. Thank you

Those two incidences are not related at all. The pulsations in your neck are of your neck vessels and are relatively common even in healthy individuals.
I would recommend a visit to doctor only if you start feeling dizziness, chest pain, breathlessness or sudden loss of muscle power. Otherwise just ignore it.
Hope this answers your query, Thank you.
