Hi,
Noted your history of pulsating vein above left eyebrow without any symptoms, no history of
hypertension or diabetes, now concerned about
Heart attack or stroke or aneurysm.
First of all, settle yourself as there are no local symptoms of pain or so and you do not have hypertension or so.
The commonest cause I can think about is as follows:
Vasculitis that is inflammation of the
superficial temporal artery is the commonest cause and the site of such occurrence.
I would advise you the following:
Consult you Doctor for a general check-up and local examination as palpation would help him out to confirm.
Routine tests of blood like CBC, ESR, Sugar, kidney and thyroid functions. Special tests like
C-reactive protein and any others.
Get a reference to the Specialist for further investigations, evaluation and proper management as needed.
Good
counselling will also be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
