What Causes Pulsations Behind The Head And Pain In The Inner Thighs?

Hello Dr. Rynne. I have pulsing at the mid-back of my head. I have back pai n and inner thigh pain from lumbar L-4 &L-5narrowing. Diagnosed with sciatic nerve pain. Only noticed this pulsing about a week ago, but feels weird and seems to be constant. No headaches, no nausea, no vomiting. Any idea what this could be? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pulsation you are feeling at the back of your head could be due to stress or migraine. You also need to check for hypertension diabetes or fever. Even sinusitis or meningitis could give a throbbing sensation. To rule out any arterial aneurysm we need to do more tests. The sciatic nerve compression symptoms are unrelated to the pulsation at the back of the head. Till you run all the tests try a tab Vasograin along with relaxation exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sanskriti Jawa
