What Causes Pulsations Under The Left Breast Bone?

I have been experiencing a pulsing feeling just under my left breast bone. It is a minor pulsating feeling. I had it once before a couple of years ago and went to ER. At that time, they thought it was a spasm from using my muscles loading travel bags on overhead bins. I don t know if this is the same thing or if it is a red flag to seek medical aid.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

From your description, I am of the opinion that it might be a muscle spasm. But still, you should have an ECG done. Is there any acid reflux issues? because they also present similar symptoms. For that, you can take PPI inhibitors such as Pantoprazole and for muscle spasm, a muscle relaxant will be useful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
