What Causes Pumping Feeling In Left Arm?

I ve been having this feeling in my left arm all day - it s been coming and going, and every now and then, it s a sort of pumping feeling, like a muscle spasm, or like there s a mini heart in there or something - what does this mean? Is it anything serious? I m 17 years old, by the way.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be suggestive of a local inflammation or infection. I recommend taking ibuprofen. If the situation persists, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR).

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
