Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Purple Discoloration On Legs Post Lumbar Spine Injury?
Hello. I have had a purple color tone to my legs off and on for 2months about the same time I injured a couple of discs in my Lumbar spine. I feel pinched in three different spots on the right leg, hip, outer knee and ankle calf area. Have nerver had the discoloration in my legs like that before.
In a routine scenario, any kind of discoloration is not seen post lumbar disc injuries or surgery. The purple discoloration you have mentioned cannot be linked to your spine injury.Vascular causes like ischemia or deep vein thrombosis can be associated with discoloration. I would suggest you to visit your physician once to rule out the cause. It is not consequence of Spine Injury.
Hope this helps.
All the best. Regards.
