What Causes Purple Discoloration, Pain And Itchiness On The Anal Area?
Please help me. I m absolutely terrified. My entire anus is purple and itchy.. It all started out as a purple lump the size of a pea but it s never itched before. I always thought it was a hemorrhoid which is common in my family. My anus is itchy and when I flex my anus it hurts.. I m so embarrassed. I know for sure its not an STD.. I can t get into my doctors for a whole week and my anxiety is through the roof please help...
There is nothing to worry about. Could be hemorrhoids at the beginning, that are broken and caused laceration if the anal mucosa ending up in itchiness.
Keep good anal hygiene. Apply prep H on the anal area after each bowel movement.
When you see the doctor, ask to get a fecal examination to rule out intestinal parasites and Candida overgrowth. Discuss this with your caring doctor when you'll see him/her.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
