I have an infection on my apadravya piercing (male piercing passing through top and bottom of the glands). I went to my doctor and she prescribed me keflex. The piercing was healing good and the redness was to a minimum and almost completely gone. But I snagged the top part of the barbell on my sheets as I was getting out of bed and it was hard enough to wake me up and send me screaming. Now it is a deep red with a purplish hue. There is no major pain down there anymore. Slight soreness is to be expected and there is no radiates heat. My lymph nodes in my groin are also shrinking down again. It s just that red purplish patch that circles the barbell that s worrying me. It s not shiny either. And there is a raised ring directly around the piercing maybe 2mm or so wide. It is still leaking fluid but not nearly as much. I am going on vacation soon and gangrene down there is not on my list of to do s. I m probably over reacting but I just wanted to ask of it sounded like trauma or the infection coming back.
