What Causes Purple Patch On The Wrist With Triscaphoid Arthritis?

i have triscaphoid arthritis in my right wrist and have developed a purpleish patch on the vein just at the wrist joint. This will be the third time it happened, I thought I might have knocked but don't believe this to be the case.
Is this any cause for concern?

Good evening. Well yes you should get it evaluated on why it is happening again and again. An ultrasound of the wrist would be helpful along with blood tests like ESR, CRP, Rheumatoid Factor and Anti CCP antibody..It is important to figure out the cause for arthritis before we can commence treatment
