General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A skin lesion that has been for 2 and half years is very least likely to be infectious and hence a negligible risk to anyone around.

However, a lesion lasting this much should always be a concern for the person himself. I would advise not to ignore and must talk to a skin specialist to see the lesion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman
