What Causes Purple Spots That Flash In Eyes And Chest Congestion?

I am seeing purple spots flashing in my eyes, I see them when I shut my eyes as well, it goes purple then flashes red. I have a really bad cold and had just taken my ventolin puffer to help with chest congestion, I was coughing pretty hard just before.???

You may need to visit an optician because the spots can be related to retina issues. The cough and pressure may have caused them.
