What Causes Purplish Bruise Around Penile Head?
Why does my penis head look purple around the edges? And I have a red little pump right above the glands which doesn t really bother me, My main concern is the purple blue-ish colour around the edges of my glands, Will it make it better if I clean it more? A purple colored rash around the penile head can be due to mechanical trauma.
The purple colored rash can be due to bruising after injury to the penile head.
Refrain from any sexual activity for some days and then observe for disappearance of the purple rash.
Do you similar purple colored rash anywhere else on the body?
If yes then this could be due to platelet disorder or disorder of coagulation factors.
Thus, if more purple colored rashes are observed on the body you need to consult your primary healthcare provider for relevant investigations like complete hemogram including platelet count, bleeding time, clotting time, prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time.
These investigations will help to know the cause of the symptoms and thus treatment.
