In my fifth month pregnancy I had pus cell was 100- 120. After that I suggested to take antibiotics of category b...then it reduced to 2-3 now I am having repeated urine test but it is not reducing now I am six month pregnant...so it really to take any action or it is ok....
Urinary tract infections in pregnancy are very common finding in developing countries and also seen in developed countries. It might occur many times during the period of pregnancy. Do not worry.
Antibiotics can only treat one bout or episode of an infection. If it recurs you'll have to take another course. To prevent urinary infections
1. Drink plenty of water. A minimum of 2-2.5L/day. 2. Maintain strict hygiene. Use newly washed sterile clothes and undergarments.
Do not neglect an infection as it may lead to complications during delivery.
